Who we are

6-5-4 is an iPhone and iPad word puzzle developed by Jon Miller. This policy covers the app, this website and support enquiries. Jon Miller is responsible for information received directly through support.

The app has no developer account registration, advertising or third-party analytics SDK. Gameplay progress is stored on your device. If you are authenticated with Game Center, challenge scores are submitted to Apple.

Data on your device

The app stores puzzle progress, submitted words, results, daily history, challenge history, tutorial completion and your hint and spark balances so you can resume play and view previous results.

6-5-4 does not operate a developer server that receives this gameplay history. Your backup settings may include app data in an Apple or computer backup. The app does not request contacts, location or notification access.

Apple Game Center

When you are authenticated with Game Center, the app submits the number of distinct completed challenges and cumulative completed-challenge scores, associated with your Game Center identity. Daily results are excluded.

Apple handles Game Center information under its own privacy policy. Your nickname and scores may be visible to other players. Manage sign-in and activity sharing in your device settings. Signing out stops new submissions while signed out; it does not delete existing Apple records.

Sharing results

Sharing is optional. If you choose to share a result, the app opens the system share sheet. The app or recipient you select handles the shared content under its own policies.

Support messages

If you email apps@jonmiller.uk, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use this to answer your enquiry, investigate issues and handle privacy requests. Please do not send passwords, payment details or unrelated personal information.

Support correspondence is processed for our legitimate interests in helping players and maintaining the app, and where needed to meet legal obligations. Email providers process messages for delivery and storage. Support messages are not used for advertising or sold.

This website

This website adds no analytics scripts, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Images are served locally and fonts are already installed on your device; there are no third-party font requests.

The hosting service may process connection information such as your IP address, requested pages, browser details and access times to deliver and protect the website. Details of the hosting provider and log retention will be confirmed when production hosting is selected.

Retention and your rights

Local data remains until you delete the app and its data. Offloading may retain data and backups may restore it. Deleting the app does not remove Game Center records or separate backups; manage those through Apple.

Support messages are kept only as long as needed for the enquiry, related follow-up or legal obligations. Contact apps@jonmiller.uk to request access, correction or deletion of information held through support. We cannot retrieve local-only progress or delete records held independently by Apple.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children’s privacy

The app does not ask for a name, age or email address to play and has no player chat or developer account registration. Its word list can include profane language. Parents and guardians can manage Game Center through Apple’s parental controls and contact us about a child’s support correspondence.
